Sonoran University’s Accessibility Office works with each student individually to develop an effective and comprehensive plan for appropriate services and accommodations for on-campus and online students. Appropriately accommodating students with disabilities is critical in keeping with our efforts to increase the diversity of the medical and healthcare professions. We are dedicated to providing the information, support, and resources necessary to aid students in pursuing their academic, personal, and professional goals.

Adam Kasarda, Accessibility Services Director
Adam brings over 20 years of higher education student services experience, holding leadership roles primarily focused on disability services at institutions including the University of California, Irvine; Cal State University, Dominguez Hills; Palomar College; and Alliant International University. Adam has direct experience supporting students with disabilities in Health Sciences programs.
Debbie Dettore
Debbie brings over 20 years of experience in administrative and office management and support. She supports Adam in the Accessibility Office and manages the accessibility testing center.
Accommodate is a platform that helps educational institutions modernize the accommodation request process, to simplify applying for, delivering, and monitoring student accommodations. It streamlines and automates processes to quickly deliver accommodations.
Students and faculty access through their dedicated sites to quickly view accommodation plans and review received notifications. Students can additionally request additional ADA services and interact with the Accessibility Office through their Accommodate site.
The solution is fully ADA- and 504-compliant and is used in over 200 institutions worldwide to ease the process of requesting assistance to access educational opportunities.
